What to do in Acute Paralytic attack through Ayurveda

Definition of Paralysis

Impulses for voluntary movement are transmitted by the pyramidal tracts or upper motor neurons. Damage to these pyramidal tracts due to any lesion, trauma, ischemia or hemorrhage produces paralysis. In Ayurveda, it can be correlated with 'Pakshaghata'.

The types of paralysis include:

1. Monoplegia, which affects only one arm or leg.
2. Hemiplegia, which affects one arm and one leg
on the same side of your body.
3. Paraplegia, which affects both of your legs.
4. Quadriplegia, or Tetraplegia, which affects both
of your arms and both of your legs.

What are the symptoms of facial paralysis?

1. Facial paralysis on one side (rarely are both sides of the face affected)
2. Loss of blinking control on the affected side.
3. Decreased tearing.
4. Drooping of the mouth to the affected side.
5. Altered sense of taste.
6. Slurred speech.
7. Drooling.
8. Pain in or behind the ear.
