biologically active points. During feeding leeches secrete pharmacologically
active substances into the wound. Hirudin is the prominent constituent of the
leech saliva which inactivates fibrin bound thrombin and dissolves blood clot.

peptides and proteins involving antithrombin (hirudin, bufrudin), antiplatelet

How to treat acute myocardial infarction
1. Patient to be applied immediatly leeches on chest left
side(cardiac site) while appling leech we should start snehana and swedana.
2. Then snehana whole body with vatahara tailam like
dawantaram tailam except applied site of leeches.
3. Followed by swedana of whole body with vatahara drugs like
nirgundhi,eranda,dashmool etc
4. Prepare dashmool kwath add mahatiktam sneha(100ml) with
saindhava lawana (5gm)
5. Ask patient to drink dasmool kwath upto neck then ask
him/her to put index finger in mouth to initiate vomiting.
6. Followed by pepliyadhi churna with chopchinadhi
churna(5gm) mixed with 10 ml of mahatiktam grhtam
7. Khichadhi of shastikshali rice
If leeches now get removed themselves then do cleaning of
leeches and ask patient to take rest

2. Avipathikar churna bd
3. Tab hradayadvaya ras 2 tab bd
4. Motipisti 1 to 2 rati bd
5. Daily snehana and swedana
6. Lahsun shirpaka empty stomach

8. Hradayabasti daily
9. B.p ,diabetes drugs,thyroid drugs and other systemic drugs
as advice
10. Peepliyadhi churna with chopchinadhi mixed with grhtam tds
with arjunaarishtam or arjunkshirpaka for diabetic as adviced
